Beliefs Abundant Life Ministries is an exciting and radical body of believers whose core purpose is getting rid of religion and walking in relationship. We understand that the only way to successfully walk in the freedom we've been designed to walk in is to know Jesus Christ in an intimate and personal way. It is our goal to help individuals go from a place of knowing who Jesus is, to knowing Jesus. We at Abundant Life Ministries place a major emphasis on Praise and Worship. It is our desire to exalt God above everything and everyone, and that requires us to break from main stream religious practices and praise God with high enery and worship with high intesity. It is through this passionate praise and worship that we set the stage for the release of the powerful, poignant, relevant, prophetic Word of God. The preaching and teaching that goes forth from our pastoral staff is always applicable and on time. We believe our members must be equipped through knowledge to live life successfully. Another key emphasis of this Ministry is racial unity and reconciliation. Abundant Life Ministries was the first church in our county to have a multi-cultural congregation, and we would not want it any other way! When Dr. Ray Willis became the pastor of this church over 20 years ago, God spoke to him and said, "raise up a church; not a white church, not a black church, but a church for all people." The result has been remarkable to say the least. What man said could not be done in our community, God did! We are a cross cultural fellowship, both in our congregation and pastoral staff. We welcome anyone and everyone regardless of race, economic status, religious background, or even past failures. Jesus has commanded us to love everyone and treat everyone in the same manner we would treat Him, and that is our goal. |
